Sorry Charlotte

I hate spiders
I especially hate spiders crawling around my house
Each morning I seem to find a BIGGER one than the day before
Usually I scream and scream until my hero (James) smashes it
Except sometimes he's not around.  Twice.  Twice he has not been around
This morning was one of those times.
The BIGGEST spider yet was crawling around my kitchen floor
I grabbed the BIGGEST boot out of James's closet
And with loud screams, I smashed the boot against that effing spider
Yes, I said "effing"
Because with big eight legged monsters, you can say half-naughty words
I then examined the spider and honestly, it looked as though it had been smashed
I bathed Porter and put him down for a nap
I came back, moved the boot and the spider was GONE!
He's going to eat me in my sleep....I just know it.

  1. i have to agree with you about stupid spiders!! the more you get the courage and just do it yourself, i have learned, the easier it is to keep doing it. best of luck. hopefully he didnt run far - maybe you broke a leg or two so he'll just fall over eventually?!

  2. I love your post. I feel the same way. Living in a basement in Cedar City we have spiders crawling around too. We sprayed inside and out but they still surprise us.

  3. I HATE when that happens. I always am freaked out for at least the rest of the day when I think I kill something then come back to see it gone. Ugh! Sorry!

  4. I HATE SPIDERS TOO! When we were living in my in-laws' basement, there were spiders everywhere! Once there was a big one in our room and we tried to get it but it was too fast and disappeared. I made Kevin search every inch of the room and we still didn't find it. I refused to sleep down there for about 2 weeks at which point I figured it must have either died or left.

  6. I totally agree, I really, really don't like them! I was making similar comments when my friends 4 yr old son said "well, you do live in the forest" and I felt silly...until the next time I saw a spider :)
