Eventful Week

1. I got a package in the mail on Tuesday with this AWESOME thing from my sister

2. On Thursday I got home and there was ANOTHER package from my cousin and her husband that was filled with baby stuff - this first baby thing is amazing...it's like Christmas everyday! :)

3. Also on Thursday there was an earthquake in Randolph, UT and it was totally felt by the residents in Layton. James felt it...but I didn't...(I was driving)

4. And Thursday evening I made DELICIOUS banana cupcakes with peanut butter frosting but instead of nuts in the frosting, I added chocolate chips to the cupcake batter.

5. And now it's Friday and the weekend couldn't look sweeter! TGIF :)

6. OH...and I have less than 6 weeks until my due date...YES!

Story

There once was a girl who had an ENTIRE week off for Spring Break (no lie)
And every morning she sent her cute husband off to work
She knew she couldn't waste the week away
So she did what any homemaker would do:
She spring cleaned her apartment (even washed the woodwork!)
She made a blanket with her mother
After going through all of the weekly ads, she drove around and bought groceries for all of the BEST prices!
Strawberries were on sale at Wal Mart for $.88 and she went CRAZY and called her mom and asked how to make strawberry jam
After hauling jars, strawberries, and sugar up the stairs to her apartment, she made 2 batches of delicious strawberry jam (and she's thinking she will make MORE tomorrow!)

And in the MIDDLE of this all, there was a knock at the door

The girl was confused because she wasn't expecting any visitors
She rushed to the door and to her surprise, she saw the UPS guy leaning a BIG box against her front door
"Tiffanie?" he asked handing her a board to sign
"Yes, that's me," she said taking the board with a questionable look on her face because she hadn't ordered anything?
The UPS guy said thank you and the girl dragged the big box that said Target on it, into her apartment
"We registered at Target for our baby!" she squealed picking up her phone to call her husband
She gave him a play by play, giggling the whole time, as she tore open the box
"It's a baby bath tub! And hooded towels and washcloths!" She screamed

The box had been sent by her AWESOME little sister!
And later that evening, as the girl reflected over her week, she realized she had turned into her mother - which is TOTALLY awesome because her mom rocks. :)

We're going to a cabin with our friends for the weekend

Life is good :)

Things that I LOVE...

- Talking to my insurance and finding out I owe less than I thought AND the girl was super nice to me.

- Having two awesome songs play back to back on my way to work - what a better way to get pumped for work? (try singing at the top of your lungs and doing your hottest dance moves in the car - it's the BEST!)

- Having my husband tell me I'm SO hot :)

- Feeling like I actually accomplished something at work today instead of feeling like a complete failure.

- And finally...coming home and eating a spoonful of peanut butter covered in chocolate chips (don't judge me, it's DELICIOUS!)

Did you know?

Did you know that a year ago at this time, I was starting my first real job as a 2nd grade teacher? Yes, it's very true. I met James's mom and she kept raving about how I needed to go on a date with her son. So about a week later, I did. (which was on Dec. 5) I thought he was hot, he thought I was hot...we both rocked...

And now look where I am. I'm teaching for my second year, married to the cutest boy ever and we are going to have a baby. Wait...did I just say baby? Yup, I totally did!!

James and I are expecting. I am 16 weeks along and our little bundle of joy is due May 24th. Boy or girl? That I cannot tell you because we won't find out for a few more weeks - but whatever it may be, we are STOKED!! :)

I did it!

I have had long blonde hair pretty much my entire life. In 5th grade, my best friend, Sarah, and I grew out our bangs. Right before 9th grade, I chopped my hair right above my shoulders. It has been long ever since...Oh and I have only EVER let my mom cut my hair :)

I went to a salon today and had a complete stranger cut my hair. I know I'm walking on the wild side. As I waited, I almost thought I was going to throw up from being so nervous! Anyone else a little too attached to their hair? I wanted to keep the "look" of my long blonde hair - so I added layers and bangs into my hair. And I have to admit, I really like it!

What a great day...

We finally got the pictures from our wedding about a week ago so I thought I'd post a few pictures. We were looking through them and we both kept saying, "That day was so much fun!" and "That day was the best!"

Ten Reasons Why Having a Husband is so GREAT!

10. A husband lets his wife snuggle up to him in bed
9. A husband has MAD cravings for PB & J sandwiches or milkshakes really late at night - and of course, you have to make them and they're so delicious!
8. A husband comes up with the best ideas: long walks to Bed Bath and Beyond to check out what "sweet" things we can buy with gift cards.
7. A husband will do his wicked awesome dance moves every time a song comes on.
6. A husband loves to make lots of yummy treats, sit on the couch and watch a freaking awesome episode of The Office. (Our main snack right now is chips, cheese, and salsa...mmm!)
5. A husband works very very hard at everything - work, school, etc.
4. A husband will totally play along with his wife and indulge in her "synchronize swimming" in the pool. (We laughed so hard I peed in the pool - no joke!)
3. A husband tells his wife everyday that she's beautiful and that he's so stinkin' lucky. (And of course, the wife feels that way about her husband!)
2. A husband can make his wife laugh so hard - impressions, silly voices, and funny faces.
1. A husband loves his wife...and I freaking love him!

A little bit of paradise...

Alright, pictures are coming slowly but here is a look at our Honeymoon :) Sorry, I posted a lot - but isn't that what blogs are for?

We went on this "Tulum Adventure". We did a zipline in the jungle, rapelled into a cave, snorkeled in a cave, and went to the ruins of the ancient Mayan city, Tulum. Here I am flying through the jungle! Yes, I screamed the whole time :)

At Tulum...

Mr. and Mrs. Eldridge

Yes, it's true. We are now Mr. and Mrs. Eldridge. Has a nice little ring to it huh?

Our wedding was awesome. The whole day was perfect. It was a tiny bit hot (93 degrees) but it still was so fun! It was fun to take pictures and to kiss as newlyweds. Our reception that night was awesome. Some people say standing in a line greeting everyone is boring...but it wasn't too bad...and to watch that present pile grow - it was all worth it :) We ended the night with a stompin' dance performance by James and I and then a dance party!

We spent a week in Riveria Maya - just south of Cancun. It was awesome! Beautiful beaches and all you can eat - it was bliss.

Just last Saturday we had our second reception in James's parents backyard. It was beautiful! And it was great to see and meet lots of family/friends.

We have amazing families and friends who always seem to go above and beyond what they are asked. Thank you everyone for your love and your support! We promise to post more pictures from the wedding, receptions, and honeymoon!

It's coming up! James and I are getting married this Friday! I thought you'd all like to see our awesome invitation. We'd love to see EVERYONE there! We're freaking excited and I can't wait to be married to this handsome guy in the picture. Oh...and we're totally registered at Target :)

Engagement and Birthday

So...I think the DAY James and I got engaged, I told him we should start a blog! And what a better day to start our blog than on James's birthday?! Yes, today is James's birthday and he is 3 hours away being an awesome son - helping to build a family cabin. Happy Birthday James!
