This past week Porter and I flew to California to visit my sister and her kids. It was a much needed trip for us - we live in a very cold, dark, and snowy place! I was nervous for the plane ride. Porter was just going to sit on my lap and I had no idea how he'd do...but I have the best baby! The flight to California we lucked out and the seat next to us was empty. Porter touched EVERYTHING, talked to EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. I had to change his diaper on the plane which almost gave me a heart attack, but now looking back is hilarious. And on the way home, he slept for practically the whole flight.
When we got there, it was sunny and like 70...I couldn't believe it! And the first thing we did was stop at this donut shop and bought a dozen donuts. I requested them :) My sister talks about buying donuts at this little place and I have been craving them for a while. They even come in a pink box - makes it more fun, right?
The first night we took a walk to a park which overlooked the ocean...seriously, why do I live in Utah? Porter has never been to a park - no I'm not depriving my child. He was just born in the summer and again, we live in a cold place where it's winter FOREVER! He loved the park!
The next couple of days we ran errands (which is so much better with someone else), played on the beach three days in a row, ate pizza at Costco, and had In-n-Out at 10:30 in the morning - not even joking.
Yeah, it was pretty much the best. But we were very happy to come home to James.
And I have not one picture of my sister and I? Sad.

ReplyDeleteFun trip! :) I get nervous about flying with April too! Oh well - we'll figure it out when we finally get there. And Utah winter is not nearly as bad as the Rexburg winter! :)
ReplyDeleteSo Cute TIffanie! We had 2 days of sun, and then it snowed here in Layton. Ughh! Porter is sooo Handsome. I love his smile. Tiff I think you should make a new facebook account. I can't seem to make a blog work at all. LOL
ReplyDeleteI miss your happy smiling face. My sister moved in with us, and we might be moving back to Rexburg. Kyle is going back to school, and possibly joing the Air Force as an officer. Text me if you have a minute.
