On July 4th, we blessed
Porter. James did a great job - it was a very special day. After wards, we went to a park to enjoy a yummy brunch. And as I nursed my cute baby in the privacy of our car, I watched my nieces and nephews feed the ducks....watched my brother in law, Leo push my brother James on this spinning monkey bar....watched my siblings compete in a pull up contest (Steph did 3!)....watched my
handsome husband walk around and entertain the family...I realized...once again,
how important family is.
And on this July 4th, I was very grateful for our country's freedom, for our founding fathers, for the men that fight to keep our country free...so that we could gather as a family on a "colder" summer day to celebrate our new baby Porter.

And this is my nephew, Emmett. Don't be fooled by his size...he isn't four months older than Porter...just two weeks older. On my side of the family, there have been four boys been in the last year. Lots of little boys :)
The night before we watched the city fireworks with our friends. Porter woke up RIGHT when the fireworks started and was very hungry...but at least he wasn't bothered by the LOUD fireworks.
