a week in Idaho

I went to Idaho with my kids for a week.  James joined us at the end of the week for a reunion with my Mom's siblings. Gosh I love Idaho.  I had way too much fun.  Like our family picture?  We're still missing like 20 people.

a little bit of everything

I LOVE summer!  We bought some kiddie pools and a few second hand toddler toys and our backyard is set.  We spend our days playing with friends, playing in the water, eating ice cream cones and popsicles outside, and watching movies when we've had enough sun.  Yeah, summer is the BEST!

My two sister in laws missed our birthday bash so they came up this past week to play.  They even made Porter a cake and brought some presents.

We missed a cousin's birthday princess party.  But we still got the party favors.  I couldn't get Porter to hold his sword or put on his crown, but you get the idea :)

 

My friend, Kim came today.  She's so great - her style, her taste in music, the food she makes - yeah, she's my favorite!  I'm positive we're going to be having LOTS of play dates this summer.

Are you impressed?  Gosh, I sure am.  One of my most favorite and talented friends in the world, Caley Park, said she'd take our pictures.  Do you know how hard it is to get babies to look at the camera?  I'm sure you do!  But look at these!  My family is so cute.  Or maybe I just had an awesome photograper?  Thanks, Caley!

We went to D.I. to walk around.  We do that sometimes.  I spotted a little kid's folding chair with Toy Story characters on it.  I practically screamed!  I ran over to it and asked Porter who was on the chair.  He said, "Woody."  He wasn't really that excited.  And then I saw the matching table against the wall!  Again, I practically screamed!  I put both in my cart.  Bought both of them for $3 total :)  Tell me I'm awesome.

Oh and my little Miss Paige is walking.  She's been doing it for 2 weeks. Yup, I'm bragging.

I am LOVING that we have 3 birthdays within 2 weeks of each other.  Three separate times we were eating cake and watching someone open gifts.  And to top it off - we threw ourselves a birthday party last night.  We invited our friends and family for a barbeque.  The kids played in the kiddie pools and ate popsicles while the adults visited.  It was great.  And then we beat a cupcake pinata to get the candy out!

Today, I am 25.  I know, old right?  Or maybe you're thinking that's so young?  It just feels weird to me.

In the first 25 years of my life, I did these 25 things (in no order - idea from here):

1. Married the cutest boy around

2. Graduated from BYU-Idaho (what, what!)

3. Had 2 beautiful babies

4. Went to Mexico with my hubby

5. Went on a cruise with my brother, cousin, and fiance.

6. Lived in Pennsylvania, Idaho, and Utah

7. Went skydiving...not the thrill I was hoping for

8. Went driving with a friend before I was supposed to (yup, I'm confessing Mom and Dad)

9. Cried like a baby while watching The Notebook in theaters with my sister and cousin

10.Created an Olympics for the Merrifield reunion

11. Mastered the art of making homemade rolls

12. Had my gall bladder removed

13. Fell in love with Troy Bolton...all three times.

14. Stayed up all night reading the first Twilight book.

15. Moved 15 times (most of those times were semesters at college)

16. Threw dead jelly fishes and seaweed at my family in Ocean City, NJ

17. Danced in front of the mirror (more than 100 times)

18.Fell in love with a boy at EFY - really, who hasn't?

19. Spend a whole week in St. George with my sister and her kids - swimming and eating all week.  (That really was one of the best weeks of my life!)

20. Been introduced to and gotten hooked onto way too many TV shows: Boy Meets World, One Tree Hill, The Office, Everwood, Grey's Anatomy, Revenge, Once Upon a Time

21.  Saw all 8 Harry Potter movies in the theater.
22. Laughed so hard I peed my pants (again...multiple times)
23. Rode in a carriage with my husband - on our 3rd date :)
24. Convinced my parents to let me have my own cell phone my senior year - which I paid for myself
25.  Spent my 25th birthday being absolutely spoiled by my husband :)
(breakfast at the Star Cafe, a long walk, an afternoon at Seven Peaks, and pizza for dinner)
